🥇 Olympic Kids Handbook

Welcome to the Olympic Kids Program!

We’re excited to welcome you and your child to our Olympic Kids movement class! This is a fun, structured fitness program for preschoolers and young kids designed to build coordination, confidence, and early athleticism through engaging obstacle courses, team games, and movement-based challenges.

Our goal is to prepare children for a lifetime of physical activity — whether that’s sports, martial arts, or just being active and confident in their own bodies.

We focus on fun-first programming that helps young kids master physical literacy — the movement skills that are the foundation of all sports and lifelong fitness.

🥋 Recommended Gear

  • Athletic Clothing – No uniform required! Just something comfy to run, jump, roll, and play in.

  • Water Bottle – Hydration is key after a good ninja mission.

  • Ready-to-Move Attitude – We’re going to have a blast!

🏗️ Class Format (30 Minutes)

  1. Warm-Up Game (5 min)
    Animal walks, “Ninja Says,” or “Color Dash” to wake up the body!

  2. Obstacle Course Challenge (10 min)
    Crawl, climb, balance, hop, and tumble through fun, padded circuits that change weekly.

  3. Skill of the Day (5–7 min)
    Movement skill like safe falling, hopping, rolling, bear crawling, jumping & landing, or team relay work.

  4. Team Game (5–7 min)
    Games like Freeze Tag, Bean Bag Races, “Build the Bridge,” or “Balance Battle.”

  5. Cool Down + Word of the Week (2–3 min)
    We finish with deep breathing, high-fives, and a quick chat about focus, kindness, courage, or confidence.

📏 Rules for Olympic Kids

  • Listen to your coach and your teammates.

  • No shoes on the mats.

  • Move safely and respectfully.

  • Celebrate effort and progress!

🏅 Progress & Recognition

Instead of ranks or belts, Olympic Kids earn:

  • Stickers for effort and kindness

  • Patches for completing challenges

  • Mini Graduation Ceremonies at the end of every season!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 For Parents

  • Please arrive a few minutes early to help your child get ready.

  • Watching is welcome, but we ask parents to let the coaches do the coaching!

  • Let us know if your child needs extra support — we’re here to help.

  • Praise effort and participation more than “winning” — progress is the real prize.
